I just saw your slack and I'm so sorry 😭😭😭

I'm so grateful to have gotten to know you and l'll miss hanging out in the office — every interaction we've ever had has always made me so happy!

if some random company doesnt take that into consideration then they dont deserve you.

I'm so so sorry XXX, I was totally floored to see you had been let go 😔.

I'm honestly both surprised and also like secondhand angry for you

I will miss working w you so much and also I think you're just the fucking best and it's a huge loss for the company

just wanted to say l've loved working with you

You're super talented and sad to lose you so know you're going to land ok

XXX, I'm shocked and so sorry to hear the news.

Can't imagine my life at XXX without you. Absolute gutted to hear this.

It was really a big bummer / surprise to see you go. Your work was very impressive. And you are a great person to work with.

I am genuinely so confused. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Wanted to say that holy I'm sad and a bit in disbelief to see that you're leaving.

i'm sorry but also SO EXCITED for you!!! I don't think any self gets lost... we just collect more selves. The next self you're collecting (already started collecting) is going to be so great, you dont even know!

you have done so great and you will always do great, in your making and most of all in just your being

can't wait to see what you explore next - software or not

so sorry XXX 🤍 can't wait to see where you fly

sending you lots of love XXX i'm here if you want to talk or just coexist

<3 sending you so much love king, let's hang soon!

Like maybe it's not always great to share those so much in a company. A depressing thought.

To say the least my admiration for you has not wavered though this. My one take away from this experience was that it can happen to anyone.

just wanted to reach out and give you a virtual hug and let you know that you are such an incredible person 🫶

hope you're feeling better (although my honest take fwiw is XXX didn't deserve you and you'll definitely go on to do much more interesting things in short order)

hey XXX, sorry to hear about your role ❤️ it's a tough moment but i know ur gonna channel it into something soft and good 🦢

Over the past two years we’ve seen periods of dramatic growth. To match and fuel that growth, we hired for a different economic reality than the one we face today.

Until then, please take good care of yourselves as you absorb this difficult news. As part of that, if you are just starting your work day, please feel free to work from home today.

These have been tough times and our teams have succeeded greatly in reducing costs while maintaining services and growing projects. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these efforts, you have made a big difference.

The employees being affected aren’t just colleagues. They’re friends. They’re family. Please reach out to them. Offer the compassion and love they and their families deserve and need now more than ever. And most of all, please lean on your leadership, including me, as we work through this difficult time together.

We are not immune to the realities of inflation and a slowing economy.

That said, these changes are also very difficult. They will be painful for those XXXans impacted, their loved ones and their teammates, because every XXX employee is an important, valuable part of our community.

We worked to ensure fair and equitable, principled decisions by focusing on a value-centered and business-based set of principles.

I regard XXXans as more than employees; they are accomplished, deeply talented individuals who #BringThemselves and drive the innovation and culture behind our products and services to deliver experiences that delight our customers.

We are confident that these changes sufficiently improve our operational resilience such that we do not anticipate further actions outside of the regular course of business.

I am reminded in moments like this, of something Martin Luther King said, that “the ultimate measure of a [leader] is not where [they] stand in the moments of comfort and convenience, but where [they] stand in times of challenge and controversy.”

sweet XXX, i just saw your post about XXX and moving on — it’s beautiful and i can feel the opening up that is happening in it, but also sounds painful and raw and sudden

i’m sorry to hear about what happened but your wings are going to catch the wind soon, and it’s going to be glorious!

dude i’m actually like bewildered. what the heck

Omg what !?! Wtf I didn’t know they did lay offs ?? Are you ok ??

XXX i'm really gonna miss working with you you are objectively the coolest ever with such a wide range of interests and hobbies and never fail to inspire me:'))

XXX!!!! SO SORRY TO SEE YOU GO! Just wanted you to know you are one of my fav XXXans!!

XXX 😞😞😞😞 I'm so upset and very sad to see you go Please Imk if theres ever anything i can help with!!!!

😭😭😭 XXX!!!! My gosh I have so many feelings. I really, really, really enjoyed working with you, getting to know each other as humans, and learning from you.

I'll miss you so much XXX!!! One of my happiest days at XX was finding out that you'd be joining the XXX team. I'm excited to see what you tackle next!

I'm very sorry. Not so long ago, I told you all that our plan was to grow the team and not do layoffs.

We did not make this decision lightly. We've taken several measures to ensure XXX has a strong financial foundation, and saying goodbye to these teammates is by far the most difficult.
